I’d still love to see the full early version of this scene where Aragorn was fighting a white ethereal king version of Sauron instead of a troll.

YES!! I feel like the rising action of that entire trilogy was building towards Aragorn having to face Sauron in some way, I was so mad when I saw that scene and how they decided to replace Magic Sauron Ghost with a stupid cave troll!! In my head they actually do fight, and it’s like Aang and the Fire Lord
